Strong Danish-Indonesian relationship
The Danish trade organization Danske Maritime had a good and rewarding meeting last week, which confirmed the already close working relationship between Denmark and Indonesia in the maritime area. In recent years, the Indonesian government has focused on developing the maritime sector, including fisheries and navy.
The meeting was attended by ambassador Muhammad Ibnu Said, diplomat Widhiastono, second secretary Martin S. Madyantoro, and from Danske Maritime, CEO Jenny N. Braat and international chief Klaus Rostell.
Indonesia is an important market for the Danish maritime industry, not least because Indonesia strives hard to become a leading maritime nation in East Asia, and because the country is one big archipelago.
Because of its high quality, and the maritime companies focus on environmentally friendly solutions and high safety measures, Danish maritime equipment, technology, and design can help fulfil Indonesia’s ambitions of expanding their maritime infrastructure, and building more advanced ships.
