Unifeeder expands in the North Sea
From August 15, Unifeeder will expand its list of routes in the North Sea with a direct connection from Antwerp and Dunkerque to Teesport and Grangemouth. The aim of the new route is to create an alternative to the busy traffic surrounding Rotterdamn.
Unifeeder already has routes that connect Rotterdam and Felixtowe, Immingham, Teesport, South Shields and Grangemouth.
Unifeeder, which has its main office in Aarhus, is owned by equity fond Nordic Capital and has former A.P. Møller – Mærsk CEO Nils Smedegaard Andersen as chairman.
The equity fond bought Unifeeder for approximately 4 billion Danish kroner back in 2013.
Nordic Capital has apparently has Unifeeder for sale since the beginning of 2018, but the company still hasnt found a buyer.
Unifeeder has lost a lot of shipping due to the conflict between the West and Russia concerning Ukraine.
