Danish/Mexican maritime agreement signed

Minister for Industry, Brian Mikkelsen, and Mexico's Minister for Communication and Transport, Mr. Gerado ruiz Esparza, have signed papers for a maritime cooperation agreement, which will strengthen the two countries cooperation revolving areas such as digitalization and environmentally friendly sea transport.
"Denmark believes in quality shipping, and a large part of Danish exports come from The Blue Denmark. Mexico is important do to its growing economy and significant maritime nation, and therefore I am exited to sign a maritime cooperation agreement with Mexico, " Brian Mikkelsen stated in relation to the signing.
The cooperation is part of the strategic partnership agreement, which Prime Minister of Denmark Lars Løkke Rasmusen, and Mexico's president embarked on in April 2017. The purpose of the partnership is to strengthen the economic and political ties between the countries. The new deal will further strengthen the maritime cooperation.
The focus of the maritime partnership between Denmark and Mexico will be on stronger communication and strengthened cooperation, in international maritime organizations, and on digitization and enviromentally friendly sea traffic. The deal was signed by Brian Mikkelsens while on his visit to Mexico.
