Maersk Supply wins ship award once again
Maersk Master won the "Vessel of the Year" award at the annual Offshore Support Journal Conference in London. This the second year in a row Maersk Supply Service wins this award for one of the company's newly build vessels. Last year the cable-laying vessel Maersk Connector won the award.
Maersk Master and its sister ship in the Starfish design M-Class collection are designed to perform anchor handling and towing tasks in a efficient manner. Their purpose is also to transport goods to and from offshore facilities and collect oil, Maersk Supply Service states.
"Maersk Master is a state of the art vessel that is second to none in terms of shipping reliability, safety on board, comfort and fuel efficiency. The high quality of services will help keep the vessel running in the current rough market. This vessel was built with the intention of providing the best value to customers, "says Steen S. Karstensen, CEO of Maersk Supply Service in connection to receiving the award.
The ship is manufactured in the Kleven shipyard in Norway and two other M-class ships have already been delivered to the Maersk Supply Service fleet. The last three ships will be delivered later this year and in 2019.
