Record breaking ticket sale on Kattegat ferry
Never before, so many have purchased a Christmas ticket for the ferry trip over Kattegat between 20th and 30th December. Ticket sales add up to a new Christmas record for Molslinjen. At present, sales have increased with 15 per cent compared to last year, a statement from the shipping company has shown.
“It's never good to get exited too early, but right now we seem to be getting the biggest Christmas gift we've ever had. We have upgraded with new ferries and more departures and have continuously shaped our product to the needs of our guests. I think that's the explanation for the great results, “ Molslinjen’s Commercial Director Jesper Skovgaard says.
It is ticket sales for ferry trips between Jutland and Zealand in the period between the 20th to the 30th of December, which has increased the last year. Thus, Molslinjen maintains its tradition of Christmas records. The number of Christmas travelers on the Kattegat has been steadily increasing every single year and has actually doubled since 2011.
Last year during Christmas time, the shipping company reached another record. Thus, on December 23, 2016, Molslinjen had the hitherto largest travel day of Christmas ever.
December 22nd and 23rd will be the busiest days for traveling to Kattegat, the shipping company has informed.
