Danish Shipping adjusts organization
Jacob K. Clasen and Maria Skipper are appointed Directors in Danish Shipping.
Danske Rederier will focus more on research policy, digitalization, competencies and education policy in the coming years, thus creating a new department for Business Development and Communication and appointing two deputy directors as directors who will become part of the management.
The new department for Business Development and Communication will get Jacob Ullegård as its director. Here, the focus will be on the political aspects of areas such as research, education and transport, as well as the development of Danske Rederier's own programs under Danish Shipping Academy, Danske Rederier wrote in a press release.
Current Deputy Director Jacob K. Clasen is appointed Director of the Business Policy and Analysis Department, which is responsible for dealing with taxes, business law and trade policy, while Deputy Director Maria Skipper is appointed Director and will continue to be in charge of Safety, Environment and Maritime Research.
"I am very pleased that we can promote two bearing forces in the organization. Danish shipping has already enjoyed Maria for the last three years as part of our management team. Jacob has had many years of work in the organization and is widely recognized in the shipping industry for his efforts. I look forward to becoming part of the management team, who will fight for good framework conditions for our business," says CEO Anne H. Steffensen.
