Esbjerg almost finished with the East Harbor
Esbjerg Port is working to complete the first stage of the port expansion, which increases the port's capacity by 250,000 m2 and 400 m wharf. Following the plan, the new area was transferred to the port on October 16.
The expansion of the municipal port is expected to take place in stages until 2030, where the 1 million new m2 and a new pier length of 1 kilometer is expected to be completed.
The port is already the largest in Denmark with an area of 4,5 square kilometers. Revenue in 2016 was 4,5 million tons from a total of 6,626 ships. Esbjerg Port's revenue was 231 million DKK in 2016 and a profit of 79,6 million DKK.
