Chinese navy visit in Copenhagen
On September 25-29, there is a Chinese navy visit in Copenhagen. The fleet strength consists of two frigates and a supply vessel. The visit follows a similar visit in 2015, where the fleets collaborated on the removal of chemical weapons from Syria, Operation RECSYR, and anti-pirate operations at the Horn of Africa.
On Monday morning, the Chinese vessels moored at the new cruise dock at Ocean Kaj. The reception was very festive, with singing and dancing resident Chinese people in national dresses on the quayside.
During the visit, the Chinese seamen will, among other things, have the opportunity to experience Danish culture and Danish society, as well as having an opportunity to meet with Danish colleagues.
The visit to Denmark is part of a series where the Chinese naval vessels also visit Belgium and England before returning to China.
