Blue Water manages large transport to China
On August 18, Blue Water Shipping loaded 16 components into a major waste incineration plant in Shenzhen, China. The shipment weighed 370 tons and consisted of shelf sections, designed and manufactured by Babcock & Wilcox VÝlund A/S, for two incineration systems and associated loose parts.
"It's a pleasure to be part of a local collaboration in a complex project like this. We are proud to be able to support B&W VÝlund, and the local relationship is important to us. The first of a total of three shipments was completed as planned," says Allan Dahl Leiberg from Blue Water.
Blue Water was responsible for the transport, from loading at B&W VÝlund's production facility in Esbjerg, transport to the port, ship loading and the voyage to Shenzhen in China. Similarly, Blue Water collected goods from B&W VÝlund's suppliers and packaged containers for shipment.
When the components arrive at Shenzhen in early October, they will be built into the plant, which will transform waste into energy. The plant burns municipal waste to produce steam that causes the turbine in the plant to move and generate energy in the form of electricity.
In autumn 2017, Blue Water will be responsible for two additional shipments for the project. Watch the short video from the shipment of the first load below.
