Bladt constructs the first Beatrice foundation
Bladt Industries has successfully installed the top 3D structure on the bottom 3D structure of Jacket 1, which is the first of 30 jacket foundations for the Beatrice Offshore Windfarm Ltd (BOWL) project. The assembly began yesterday at 6.00 and ended at 8.30.
Bladt Industries supplies 30 pieces of four-legged jacket foundations to the wind farm. The jacket foundations range up to about 70 meters and will weigh up to approximately 900 tons. This makes them considerably larger than the foundations previously made on LindÝ.
The project will be one of the largest private investments ever made in Scottish infrastructure. The offshore wind farm will be 588 MW and will consist of 84 pieces of Siemens SWT-7.0-154 offshore wind turbines.
The wind farm is located 13.5 kilometers from the North Sea coast in northern Scotland.
