The initiation of Tycho Brahe as the world's largest battery-powered ferry on the Helsingør-Helsingborg route, scheduled to take place on June 20, has unfortunately been postponed. HH Ferries Group is sorry to cancel the initiation on such short notice.

"The installations for the ferry's highly complex charging systems are not fully functional, and we have therefore decided to postpone the deployment until the technical conditions are in place and the necessary certifications have been obtained", the company writes in a message.

Despite the delay, the project continues, and the ambition to launch the world's largest battery-powered ferry during the summer season is maintained.

Tycho Brahe left the crossing on Tuesday, April 18 to get to the yard in Landskrona, where the last conversion and installation work has been completed, so the ferry it can be inserted on the Helsingør-Helsingborg route in full battery operation. Later Aurora will also be in the yard.

To maintain high regularity with precise departures every quarter through most of the day, Mercandia VIII is inserted as a reserve shuttle until the two converted ferries are both back in operation.
