Esvagt introduces new anti-corruption rules
Esvagt has implemented a new anti-corruption procedure that meets the requirements of the UK Bribery Act. All officers in the ESVAGT fleet and all land-based employees have completed an e-learning education as part of the implementation of the new procedure for anti-corruption.
"The introduction of guidelines and standards for the UK Bribery Act was straightforward. They were well aligned with the way we have always acted," says Head of Commercial in Esvagt, Ib Hansen.
The procedure is initiated to signal to customers that the company follows the rules. In practice this means that a report must be made when the company host a client dinner, is invited out to dinner or is attending an event. All donations exceeding a certain value should be reported.
"It is important that we signal that we stay on the straight and narrow path. We want to compete in entirely fair level within our markets and this step signals just that," says Ib Hansen.
