Shipping.dk secure gravel project in Nyborg
Per Aarsleff A/S has secured a major construction project in the Odense area. Shipping.dk, which is part of the Middelfart-based company USTC, has been coordinating the task of handling 75 percent, 100,000 - 150.000 tons of gravel for the project in Nyborg.
"We are very happy and proud that Per Aarsleff A/S has chosen Shipping.dk as their partner in this project. Several ports were in the race, and all showed a tremendous cooperation to present a competitive set-up for Per Aarsleff A/S, but ultimately Nyborg was chosen," says Steffen Dalgaard COO of Shipping.dk.
The gravel will arrive by sea, mainly from Norway, and is driven from Nyborg by truck to the site. It is Shipping.dk's local business Thomas Wang, who will handle the task in Nyborg, and here there's enthusiasm about the activity.
"We have been at the port of Nyborg for many years and handled many major projects. It is therefore very positive for us that Per Aarsleff has chosen Shipping.dk as their collaborator on the port-related part of this project," says Søren Weis, who is the Chief Executive of the department in Nyborg.
The first ship come into port this weekend March 4 - 5, and another 30 to 40 ships in total are expected.
