South Funen reaches out for maritime jobs
With SIMAC in Svendborg and Marstal Navigation School, South Funen is one of Denmark's maritime strongholds. It hopes to further strengthen through the growth team's recommendations, that will be published on April 21 and will be debated in Svendborg with the Danish Shipowners' Association as host.
Minister: Focus on unmanned ships!|
If it was up to Industry Minister Brian Mikkelsen, Denmark would be one of the first countries to really focus on unmanned ships and ferries. The minister said this in a statement on the Danish Maritimes Annual Meeting in Copenhagen on Wednesday.

Conference on Ballast Water Convention|
When the Ballast Water Convention goes into force on September 8, 2017, up to 60,000 vessels worldwide will be equipped with new ballast water systems. In Denmark, there are up to 1,900 ships flying the Danish flag that need be retrofitted with a total value of up to 9 billion. kr.

Today, the Danish Maritime Days 2016 is launching. During the next five days some of the maritime industry's biggest global challenges and opportunities will be discussed by participants from around the world.
