New shipyard hall at Hvide Sande Shipyard

New shipyard hall at Hvide Sande Shipyard

06-06-2019 12:00:00

Construction of a large new shipyard hall at Hvide Sande Shipyard’s slipway is well underway. The hall is expected to be ready for the first customers to be serviced during the month of September.
Rapidly increasing demand for indoor facilities for the ever-larger ships in Northern European waters is driving investment in the facilities.

The new manufacturing facility will have a length of 46 metres, a width of 21 metres and a height of 20 metres, and the east gable will have a hangar door that is 18 metres wide. This will ensure that ships larger than those which we can currently accommodate will be able to have access and be stored under cover.

Hvide Sande Shipyard is thus ensuring that safety and employees’ working environment will be further optimised, while the new hall will create value for customers who can use the shipyard’s services regardless of weather and thereby return to sea more quickly and efficiently.
