Taking a seat on the board of Monjasa Holding A/S, Peder Gellert Pedersen will engage in the further development of Monjasa as a modern oil and shipping group. This includes taking an active part in Monjasa’s push for extended quality and transparency on bunker purchases and building further on recent years’ positive developments.

Last week, Monjasa Holding released its Annual Report for 2018 revealing a 17% increase in total supply volume and a net result of USD 5m, which was in line with expectations. The Annual Report also displayed a high solvency ratio of 29% and consolidated group equity of USD 121m.

“As chairman, I’m pleased to welcome Peder Gellert Pedersen as a new capacity in the board room. Overall expectations to bunker suppliers are increasing and Peder’s understanding of maritime shipping and logistics from his daily leadership in the DFDS Group is an important contribution to Monjasa. Very importantly, we also get a real team player with good people skills on board matching Monjasa’s personal business profile well", says Christian Merrild, Chaimand of the Board, Monjasa.

FACTS ABOUT PEDER GELLERT PEDERSEN:

Born in 1958 and joined DFDS in 1994 from Fredericia Shipping and has since then built a career across internal management positions.
Since 2010 serving as Executive Vice President of DFDS’ Ferry Division, which covers all Passenger, Ro-Ro and Ro-Pax activities and their associated terminals.
Educational background includes Diploma in Business Administration and Licensed Shipbroker from the Danish Ministry of Trade & Industry.
Besides his daily responsibilities in the DFDS Group, Peder Gellert Pedersen is active in various board functions and as Member of the Business Committee in Danish Shipping.
