MHI Vestas builds wind team in the US

MHI Vestas Offshore Wind has hired Jason Folsom for their US offshore wind team. Folsom is the first person that the company has hired on the US market. Folsom joins MHI Vestas Folsom joins MHI Vestas after leading another turbine producer's into the US offshore wind farm market.

According to MHI Vestas, Folsom contributes by bringing new knowledge about the market, he also has a passion for offshore wind farming in the US, a deeper understanding of the US energy markets and knows about specific local demands, which are factors that can lead to success son the market.

The appointment of Folsom follows the company's announcement of being selected as the preferred turbine supplier for the 800 MW Vineyard Wind project in Massachusetts.

Once the order gets a confirmation stamp, MHI Vestas will begin the process of hiring local labor and supply chain investments to support the project as it approaches the construction phase.
