The Danish maritime exhibition and conference Copenhagen Shipping Summit, which was suppose to take place in the beginning of April 2019, has been cancelled. Jakob le Fevre, who along with Jesper Åndahl was in charge of the event, announced this to the Danish maritime media Søfart.

”We have to accept that it is not the right time for it, and that it’s going to take more time to get the needed support from the industry”, Jakob le Fevre says to Søfart.

Jakob le Fevre tells Søfart that he has been in contact with the exhibitions customers and clients, who all have been informed about the cancellation, and that customers will be reimbursed made payments.

In a briefing document that was sent to customers and clients, Jakob le Fevre writes:

"It is our belief that there is potential for a major maritime event in Denmark, but it will require a lot of support from authorities, organizations and companies"

”We are sorry about any inconvenience that comes with the decision, and once again we would like to say thank you for the support”, the briefing document concludes.

The next edition of the international Danish maritime exhibition, The Danish Maritime Fair 2020 will take place as scheduled in week 20 in 2020.
