If so, you might be our new Maritime Instructor at Maersk Training in Esbjerg.
You a great chance to make use of your maritime skills and experience within Maersk Training – a business unit within the A.P. Moller-Maersk Group. As a Maritime Instructor, you will be a vital part of our maritime team and delivering a better learning experience at our new maritime training centre which opened its doors in the port of Esbjerg in the summer of 2016. Here you will get the chance to be instructor on our custom-built specialised Freefall-Lifeboat Simulator, our range of FRB, MOB and conventional lifeboat courses as well as instructor on the various sea survival courses for the oil and gas, wind and maritime industries. As a right hand of the Maritime Team Leader you will over time get responsibility for specific courses and for the right candidate, there is a possibility of succession over time.
• Deliver theory and practical training on the maritime GWO, STCW and OPITO boat courses to the highest levels of quality and customer satisfaction.
• Lead instructor on the maritime MOB, FRB and Lifeboat courses.
• Deliver training as Instructor and Co-instructor. This includes preparation of boats, equipment and all other course related activities.
• Daily safety of delegates at our maritime facilities during training.
• Develop and maintain training material in the maritime department.
• Set high personal and professional standards.
• Environmentally focused in the approach to the daily operation.

We are looking for
It is central to you to set high personal and professional standards to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction in our course delivery and to deliver a better learning experience. In addition to delivering training on the courses the role requires proactive contribution related to the tasks before, during and after the courses.
The perfect candidate has a maritime background, preferable as navigator or marine engineer. Other maritime qualifications might be sufficient with the right background.
You ideally have some knowledge and experience from Emergency Rescue and Response vessels and operations related to MOB, lifeboats and FRC’s.
You are well versed at IT in general and will be able to act as instructor in our freefall lifeboat simulator.
You preferably have instructional or teaching experience, but it is not a requirement.
You are customer focused and committed to deliver a better learning experience.
You must be able to speak and write both Danish and English fluently.
