Rolls-Royce Marine gets new address

15-09-2018 10:00:00

The service company Rolls-Royce Marine A / S has entered a leasing deal with the port of Aalborg. After being located 27 on Værftsvej for the last 27 years, the company is now moving to an area of 4,500 square meters in the port of Aalborg’s commercial park on the eastern port.

"With this new location, Rolls-Royce Marine recognizes the opportunities for further development and cooperation in the industrial and technological advanced environment that the port of Aalborg has created in the area," says CEO of Rolls-Royce Marine Aalborg, Peter Studsbjerg.

Rolls-Royce Marine, a company that supplies the maritime industry with delivery, servicing and repair of complete propulsion systems, will move to Langerak in the port of Aalborg’s commercial park on July 1, 2019. The deal is based on 4,500 square meters of 1,400 square meters.

Employees at the port of Aalborg are also exited about the deal, which means that the company and not least the 40 jobs will stay in the city, and it may even create opportunities for growth.

"At the port, the company has a better opportunity to live up to its development potential, seeing as it will be in an environment where employees are no longer restricted in areas such as noise, capacity, space shortage, etc.", says Chairman of the port Aalborg A/S, Thomas Kastrup-Larsen.
