23-07-2018 10:00:00

The first out of the 49 MHI Vestas 8.3MW wind turbines that makes for the Horn Rev 3 offshore wind farm is now in place. With its total capacity of 406 MW, Horn Rev 3 will produce enough power to supply 425.000 Danish homes.

The installation was done Fred. Olsen Windcarrier’s jack-up Brave Tern, which departed Esbjerg last week carrying four wind turbines.

Horns Rev 3, which is located 25 and 40 kilometers from Jutland’s west coast, is expected to be ready in 2020.

The offshore wind farm is the first one build in Denmark in five years
