Fred. Olsen’s installation ship Bold Tern is in the process of installing a total of 56 MHI Vestas windmills on Borkum Riffgrund 2, which is approximately 57 km of the German North West coast. Fred. Olsen won the contract with Ørsted back in June 2016.

Back in May, Bold Tern installed the first four MHI Vestas 8 MW windmills in the area and have now sailed to Esbjerg to pcik up the next windmills to be installed at Borkum Riffgrund 2.

The offshore wind farm of 450 MW, whic is placed right next to Borkum Riffgrund 1, will be finished in 209 if everything turns out as planned.

Ørsted, who established and owns the park, sold 50 percent of it to Global Infrastructure Partners last year.
