Maersk supports Russian-sanctions

17-04-2018 15:00:00

Maersk Line will not be shipping nor receiving goods or handle money related issues from companies or persons part of the US sanctions against Russia. Bloomberg has reported this on the basis of a note sent by Maersk Line to its customers.

By doing this, Maersk Line supports the boycotts against Russia, imposed by the United States as a consequence of the chemical weapon attack in Syria.

The increased sanctions will among other things mean that American ships and ports are not allowed handle goods for Russians who are on the so-called Specially Designated Nationals list, Berlingske Business writes.
