DESMI delivers a satisfactory result

DESMI delivers a satisfactory result

06-04-2018 12:00:00

At the general assembly of the DESMI Group, the Annual Report for 2017 was presented and approved. Revenue for the year prior to taxes was 855 million Danish kroner, and profit before taxes came in at 44.2 million Danish kroner. The result aligns with the budget for the year and is considered satisfactory.

"Having gained a profit of 44.2 million Danish kroner based on a revenue of 855 million is considered satisfactory and shows a good trend in the Group's sales skills. We also find that DESMI is on the right track and is continuing to increase the stagnant revenue in several market areas. In 2018 we are looking forward to - and planning for - further growth in our core business, "says CEO Henrik Sørensen.

As far as the Market goes, 2017, as expected, was a difficult year for the core business, which continued to start activities revolving around building new things, within the marine segment and low oil prices resulted in increased competition and stagnant sales.

In the bilge water area, DESMI has developed and marketed a new and significantly better operating system, "Com-pactClean". The new bilge water system meets the demand for minimum space requirements, functionality and - if desired - also high flow rates.

DESMI has high expectations for the sale of this system, seeing as the market currently has a high demand for efficient bilge water systems.
