The Blue Denmark's wealthiest anno 2017

The Maersk family sits at the top of the Blue Denmark and has added a few billion kroner to the fortune due to the higher stock price, which is enough for a 7th place in Berlingske's annual Top 100 over the richest in Denmark. New to the list is Johan Wedell-Wedellsborg.

Wedelsborg is listed as No. 91 as owner of the Weco Group with a capital amounting to 1,2 billion. kr.
The Maersk family has a capital of 12,7 billion. kr. and is placed as a solid no. 1 over the richest of Denmark's Blue Denmark, while the 2nd place is occupied by Torben Østergaard Nielsen, the owner and founder of United Shipping & Trading Company.

He is well worth 5,3 billion kr. with his personal company Selfinvest ApS. It is enough to give him a ranking as the 20th richest in Denmark on Berlingske's list.

Through Selfinvest, Torben Østergaard Nielsen owns one of the world's largest bunker companies, Bunker Holding and the tanker shipping company Uni-Tankers.

No. 3 in the list of The Blue Denmark's richest is the Stadil family whose fortune in Thornico is estimated at 3,3 billion kr. Thor Stadil and his son Christian owns the company Thorco through Thornico.

The Kirk Kristiansen family sits comfortably in 1st place as Denmark's richest, with a fortune of 155.4 billion kr. Also, enough to place the family in a 35th place over the Forbes 2017 list of the world's richest.
