The Danish Energy Agency has considered an application from SønderborgForsyningsservice A/S after the open-door arrangement. The company has sought permission to investigate whether a wind turbine park can be established in an area between Als and Helnæs on Funen.

The pre-emption permit applies during the period June 15, 2017 - December 15, 2018. The permit is granted to conduct preliminary investigations for the establishment of offshore wind turbines in an area of southern Lillebælt, northeast of Als.

The project comprises between 20-44 offshore wind turbines with a total installed power of between 100-160 MW.
