Grenaa Harbor is on its way to establishing LNG bunkering facilities. The harbo has signed a preliminary agreement with the Estonian company LNG Gorskaya Overseas, which will construct the plant.

According to the agreement, the two companies will cooperate in the construction of a LNG bunkering center with a capacity of 10,000 cubic meters of LNG.

The construction of LNG bunkering facilities in Grenaa will secure fuel for LNG-powered ships in the Danish waters including the areas around Skagen, Gothenburg, Malmö and Copenhagen.

LNG Gorskaya Overseas say that, in addition to the Grenaa plant, they plan to establish LNG bunkering facilities in Lübeck, Pärnu in Estonia, Kotka-Hamina in Finland, Piteo in Sweden and Liepaja, Latvia, in a press release.
