Are you passionate about Maritime safety, building teams and sharing your knowledge?
Would you like to be responsible for our maritime training and work as instructor and maritime Team Lead as part of the extended management team?
If so you might be our new Maritime Team Leader at Maersk Training in Esbjerg.

We Offer
This is a great chance to make use of your managing and leadership skills from your background as navigator in one of the exiting companies within the Maersk Group. As a right hand to the Operation Manager you will be responsible for all maritime training, and deliver a better learning experience at our brand new Maritime training facilities in Esbjerg.

Key Responsibilities
• Safety of delegates and employees at our maritime facilities.
• Support achievements of safety and environmental objectives.
• Management representative and part of the extended management team
• Direct Manager of our full-time and part-time instructors in the maritime tube/department.
• Contractual agreements with new part-time instructors within own tube.
• Deliver training as Instructor and Co-instructor. This includes preparation of boats, equipment and all other course related activities.
• Responsible for development and maintenance of course material in the maritime tube.
• Development and maintenance of course related procedures in cooperation with the other Team Leaders and our HSEQ responsible.
• Research and development in the maritime tube.
• Ensure a better learning experience.

Who we are looking for
Central to the position is to set high personal and professional standards, to ensure the highest level of customer service is at the forefront of course delivery. In addition to delivering training on the courses the role requires proactive contribution related to the tasks before, during and after the course.
• You have a maritime background as navigator with minimum certificate of competency as Mate, 4th class and preferably certificate of Competency as Master Mariner.
• You have a minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Leader and Manager.
• You speak and write Danish and English fluently.
• You are well versed in IT in general and will be able to act as supporter on our simulator after introduction to this.
• Ideally you have instructional or teaching experience, but it is not a requirement.
• You are customer focused and committed to deliver a better learning experience.
