29-11-2016 08:00:00

Bladt Industries in Aalborg has published a picture of one of the 60 transition pieces, the company will manufacture for the Arkona wind farm. EEW SPC delivers 60 monopiles for the project and Bladt delivers the transition pieces. Both companies began work on the project in August.

Installation of the major components is scheduled to start in 2017. The wind farm will consist of 6 MW Siemens turbines which A2SEA will begin installing in 2018. The offshore wind farm which is worth 1,2 billion euro is owned and developed by E.ON and Statoil. It will be fully commissioned in 2019.

The project, also known as Arkona-Becken Südost, is located in the Baltic Sea, 35 km northeast of Rügen.
