10-08-2016 08:00:00

More than 30 events will address some of the main challenges and opportunities that the global maritime industry is facing in connection with the Danish Maritime Days on 24-28 October. New solutions to climate and environmental problems, security and development in the world economy are some of the topics.

"Danish Maritime Days 2016 will reflect the great changes that the global maritime industry is going through these years. This includes everything from industry's ambitions to reduce CO2 emissions to the weak development in world trade. We have high expectations for the program and look forward to bidding national and international participants welcome," says Michael Søsted who is Secretary of the Danish Maritime Days.

Danish Maritime Days is an open platform, and organizations are invited to organize independent events. At present the calendar has more than 30 professional and social events. Michael Søsted expects that there will be morel events, before the chance to add new events to the official calendar before it expires on 1 September.

"Danish Maritime Days is a golden opportunity where organizations can put the industry's global challenges and opportunities on the agenda. It is our hope that the many discussions will help to create positive change for the benefit of industry and human welfare," says Michael Søsted.
