Terntank receives new LNG tanker

12-07-2016 12:00:00

Terntank which is operated from Skagen, took delivery of M/T Ternsund, the first of the company's four new LNG-powered tankers on 27 June. At the same time the new vessel received the Danish flag. The naming took place in late March at the Chinese shipyard Avic Dingheng Shipbuilding Co., Ltd.

On June 28, Ternsund left for Singapore, where the ship will get cargo on the road to Europe. The company expects that it will take about 5-6 weeks to sail to Europe. Here the vessel will go into time charter for the Finnish company North European Oil Trade.

After unloading, the ship will arrive at Gothenburg. M/T Ternsund will primarily distribute petroleum products from Neots refinery in Gothenburg, ST1.
