Danish Maritime Fair reports all sold out

01-10-2015 09:31:00

Denmarks new international maritime fair Danish Maritime Fair is now able to, about 14 days before the fair is about to be held, report that all booths have been booked. 203 companies and organisations, who represend both Blue Denmark and some foreign companies are engaged in the final preparations before the fair opens.

In connection with the fair, three large conferenceprograms are held:

• Danish Maritime Technology Conferences arranged by Danske Maritime
• Driver for Blue Growth in the Baltic Sea Region arranged by DG Mare in cooperation with Maritime Development Center of Europe
• And finally Danish Maritime Fair’s own initiative Danish Shipping & Ship Management
Conferences – which is a serie of conferences targeted different profiles.

Tuesday the theme is People – and here you should participate if you have a HR/crewing role or work with communication and education, Wednesday the theme is Business and here it is primarily represents from the commercial part of the industry who will be present in the conference room and finally the theme Thursday is Technical, which is expected to attract a large number of technical and nautical superintendents, fleet – and technical managers.

Having sold out 14 days before the fair is held is an ideal situation for the team behind the fair. Jakob le Fevre, who is responsible for developing the fair, says “It is with ease of mind, that we now know that we are able to welcome people to a filled hall. Now we have time to put the full glare on the last wave of PR activities and fine tune all the different small details which all together give the right environment for the fair”

The team behind the fair expects to have a final program ready next week – and according to Jakob le Fevre – it offers a diverse palet of fun.

Jakob le Fevre elaborates “Business you can strictly deal with on e-mail now – and a lot do that too. But shipping is a branch based on relations and you don’t build relationships on e-mails. That is why meeting – face to face – has become more important than ever before. Here events of a more social character are very important – and we have gradually some on the program. Should I reveal some of it, I can tell that the Navy Tambourmajorcorps will be playing at the opening, Blue Men Convention – one of Denmarks most experienced event bands – will entertain every day. We have folk-dance from India, yo-yo competitions, Iver C. Weilbach and Leth Agencies hold a large reception on Wednesday – and Ocean Hub will tell about their large bet on a social network for maritime profiles. KLM and ATPI Griffinstone hold a large competition where the prize is a trip to the Netherlands, nice hotel and tickets for Ajax Amsterdam – and there are several beer- and winetastings – so it is going to be a lot of fun.

The Fair is held in Copenhagen, in the Train Workshop as a part of Danish Maritime Days and will be open 6., 7. And 8th of October from 10.00 – 17.00.
