Danish Maritime Fair in high gear

Danish Maritime Fair in high gear

25-03-2015 16:00:00

In only 6 weeks, 30% of the area at Danish Maritime Fair 2015 has been booked – 65 out of 169 stands to be precise – not only by local Danish suppliers like Viking Life-Saving Equipment, Lyngsø Marine and Atlas Incinerators, but also by companies from abroad such as Lukoil, Oil Market Journal and Aspida – Maritime Security.

“We are naturally very pleased with the fact that people believe in the concept but I am particularly happy with the positive response we have had regarding the new segmenting of the exhibition. This year we are focusing on creating an exhibition not only with traditional equipment suppliers, but also with a strong presence of companies and organizations in the commercial sector. As a result, we already have companies like Thome Ship Management, Codan and Skuld booked into the new dedicated Shipping & Commercial section of the Fair”, says Jakob le Fevre who is in charge of Sales & Marketing of the exhibition.

The exhibition will cover an area of 9,500m2 at The Train Workshop in down-town Copenhagen. The team behind the exhibition are right now working hard to launch an ambitious strategy for the largest maritime conference ever in Denmark – in addition to planned exhibition activities.

CEO of Maritime Danmark, Rene Wittendorff explains:

“Last year, our main focus was to start up a maritime exhibition. It was the first year of Danish Maritime Days and affiliated events were scattered all over Denmark. From the user survey we conducted after the exhibition, it was clear that people wanted the events in a smaller geographical area. In the light of this, we have decided to launch all of this major conference program, with space for 530 delegates per day, in/near Copenhagen. We hope that this initiative, will be supported by all relevant companies and institutions in the Danish Maritime Cluster.

The Danish Maritime Fair is organized by the media group Maritime Danmark, in co-operation with its partners.

The Fair will take place at The Train Workshop in Copenhagen from October 6th – 8th, 2015, from 10 AM to 5PM every day.
