Future conditions for seafarers

Future conditions for seafarers

03-10-2014 12:00:00

On Monday, you have a chance to discuss conditions for seafarers worldwide at the "Conference on the Seafarer as part of Global Quality Shipping" organized as a part of the Danish Maritime Days.

At the conference, you can listen to representatives of Seafarers' Rights International, Brian Orrell, and director of the Chamber of Shipping of America, Joseph Cox, discuss whether we have met our expectations with the Maritime Labour Convention (MLC). MLC entered into force last year. In addition, the focus will be on what we can do to improve seafarers' working conditions, especially to attract youth to the maritime industry.

3F, CO-SEA, Danish Shipowners Association and the Danish Maritime Authority is hosting the conference, which is partly funded by the Danish Maritime Fund.
