Nordic exhibitors at Danish Maritime Fair

Although the majority of the exhibitors that have booked a booth at the upcoming maritime exhibition in Copenhagen - Danish Maritime Fair - are Danish, the organizers may notice a marked increase in interest from, among others, Nordic companies.

"There are fairs all over the world all the time, but we choose to participate in the Danish Maritime Fair because we consider the fair as Denmark's new national exhibition. Denmark is a major shipping nation and therefore it is important to be present, "says Chief Marketing Officer Lars E. Lunøe from Teamtec in Norway, which produces marine Incinerators and stripping ejectors.

"In addition, we know that one of our competitors is participating at the fair, and for that reason alone, we must of course be there," says Lars E. Lunøe.

Also in Sweden there’s talk about the new Danish exhibition.

"We are participating in the Danish Maritime Fair because almost all the Danish tanker shipping companies are our customers, and it is important that we show the flag now that there will be a maritime exhibition in Denmark," says Sales Manager Johan Olbing, Scanjet Marine in Sweden who specializes in cleaning tanks.

"We do not expect to pick up new customers at the show, it's more about showing goodwill," says Johan Olbing.

In addition to companies from Norway and Sweden a number of Danish subsidiaries of Norwegian and Swedish companies have already booked in, ATP Instone, Wilhelmsen Ship Services, Zenitel, Insatech, IOP Marine and Alfa Laval.

The great interest in participating in the Danish Maritime Fair means that the exhibition space has been expanded from 1.800m2 in a hall, to 6.000m2 in three halls. The Danish Maritime Fair will be held from 7-10. October 2014.
