Mercy Ships which provides free medical care to the poor in a number of developing countries have ordered a 36,600 GRT large hospital ship at Tianjin Xingang Shipyard in China. The vessel will be the largest privately built hospital ship in the world.

At home, Mercy Ships is best known for his current hospital ship African Mercy, which is identical to the old railroad railway ferry Queen Ingrid, which has been converted to a hospital ship but still contains a number of memories.

The new hospital ship will be 174 meters long and signed by the Finnish company Delta Marine.

The ship will be delivered in July 2017.
