Maersk Oil wants to build a new research center to improve the extraction and production of oil that takes place in the North Sea region. At the same time, the Centre will draw foreign expertise in oil exploration in the country.

Information on the research center is found in a fact sheet from the Danish Treasury, published in the government's so-called Growth Plan DK.
